Christopher Thomas, Patent Attorney
CHRISTOPHER THOMAS is an Attorney in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Department as well as the Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Department. Mr. Thomas’ practice includes the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, client counseling, responding to Office Actions, preparing Appeal Briefs and conducting Examiner Interviews. He is currently working on technology relating to semiconductor fabrication technology, pharmaceutical compositions, optical sensors, and LED technology.
Prior to joining Nath, Goldberg & Meyer, Mr. Thomas worked as a Patent Attorney at an IP boutique law firm in New Jersey where he primarily drafted and prosecuted domestic patent applications.
Mr. Thomas received his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (f/k/a Franklin Pierce Law Center) and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. During law school, Mr. Thomas served as a law clerk at the United States International Trade Commission and assisted in Section 337 litigation for the violation of IP rights during importation.
Mr. Thomas is a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Benjamin Franklin American Inn of Court.
Mr. Thomas is admitted to practice before the Bar of the State of New York and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
