DANIEL J. BISSING is a Patent Attorney in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Department as well as the Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Department of Nath, Goldberg & Meyer (NGM).
Mr. Bissing’s practice includes preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, patent counseling, and rendering opinions regarding invalidity and noninfringement of patents.
His technical expertise encompasses a wide range of biomedical, electrical and mechanical technologies including medical devices, control systems, display devices, and communication systems.
Prior to joining NGM, Mr. Bissing was a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in the medical device area. He also spent time in large firm and in-house settings.
Mr. Bissing received a J.D. Degree from University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center), and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical (biomechanical) Engineering from Marquette University College of Engineering. He is in the process of obtaining a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University (expected Dec. 2019).
Mr. Bissing is admitted to practice law before the Bar of the State of Illinois, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
