Alfred Muratori, PATENT AGENT

Alfred H Muratori is a Patent Agent in the Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering  Department.

Mr. Muratori conducts patentability searches of U.S. and foreign patent documents and non-patent documents for inventions that are the same as or have features of client inventions and innovations.  He evaluates search results and provides recommendations for filing strategies to inventors in written reports with links to supporting documents. Additionally, he counsels clients on patentability matters, writes and prosecutes patent applications and assists in various patent and non-patent related projects. Mr. Muratori’s technical expertise covers a wide variety of technical areas including electrical, chemical (inorganic) and mechanical.  His hands-on experience includes industrial electronic controls and telecommunication equipment.

Prior to joining Nath, Goldberg & Meyer, Mr. Muratori managed the search practice of Litman Law Offices (LLO), an Intellectual Property practice group of an international law firm, as well as counseling inventors and writing and prosecuting patent applications.  

Before joining LLO, Mr. Muratori served as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where he gained expertise in government, business, and legal aspects of the patent system.  In former positions he was the in-house patent practitioner for a thin film technology laboratory and a patent agent in an intellectual property law firm where he specialized in hard drives, magnetic media compositions and electromechanical devices.

Mr. Muratori started his technical career in the U.S. Air Force serving as an electronic technician and non-commissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of ground radio communications.

Mr. Muratori received his B.S. degree in Engineering Physics, summa cum laude, from North Carolina A&T University.

Mr. Muratori is registered to practice before the USPTO. 

Mr. Muratori enjoys home improvement projects and gardening with his wife, cat husbandry, and computer gaming.
