KIMBERLY STEWART, TECHNICAL ADVISOR
KIM STEWART is a Technical Advisor in the Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineering Department.
Ms. Stewart specializes in the preparation of domestic patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), patentability searches, freedom to operate searches and providing technical expertise where needed. She has extensive experience in all stages of U.S. prosecution in a wide variety of technical areas.
Before joining NGM, Ms. Stewart was an R&D chemist for 13 years and holds three patents in coatings and inorganic pigments, and a Patent Examiner at the USPTO for 11 years where she analyzed and made patentability determinations for incoming applications directed towards various chemical engineering technologies in mainly method and apparatus. She has also spent time preparing the international search report and opinion on patentability for PCT applications for a contractor for the USPTO, as well as testing an AI patent search platform for a tech startup in terms of patentability and freedom to operate searches. Additionally, she has assisted pro se clients with patent prosecution of their inventions.
Ms. Stewart holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, and has completed advanced masters level coursework in chemistry also at the University of Pittsburgh.
