ROBERT B. LYONS, PATENT ATTORNEY
ROBERT B. LYONS is a Patent Attorney in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Biotechnology Department and the Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Department. He is also a member of the American Radio Relay League and has been a licensed amateur radio operator since 1987. Mr. Lyons supervises the preparation and filing of patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He has been engaged in writing and prosecuting patent applications for more than twenty years.
Prior to practicing Intellectual Property Law, Mr. Lyons engaged in the practice of general practice of law as a sole practitioner for twenty years with an office in Rockville, Maryland.
Mr. Lyons is admitted to practice before the Bars of the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Mr. Lyons is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Lyons is also admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court of Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the U.S.
Mr. Lyons received his J.D. degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and his B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Lyons is fluent speaking in both English and Greek.
